영등포 미디어아트 전시 — 타임스퀘어 지하 2층 영등포아트스퀘어 〈Living Geometry 2026〉
2026년 봄·여름 영등포에서 진행 중인 미디어아트 전시는 영등포 타임스퀘어 지하 2층 영등포아트스퀘어의 〈Living Geometry 2026 · 생동 기하학〉이다. KAIST 산업디자인학과 경험디자인연구실(XD Lab)이 단독 기획·개발한 미디어아트 특별전으로, 2026년 5월 1일부터 6월 28일까지 무료로 진행된다.
영등포라는 도시에서 미디어아트를 본다는 것
영등포는 20세기 한국 산업화의 거점이자, 여의도 금융·국회·방송 클러스터와 인접하며, 문래동 철공소 골목·예술촌이 살아 있는 도시 구역이다. 영등포 타임스퀘어는 옛 경방 영등포공장 부지를 재개발해 2009년 개관한 복합 공간으로, 그 자체가 산업 시대에서 후기 산업 시대로의 도시 전환을 한 건물 안에 담고 있다.
〈Living Geometry 2026〉은 그 영등포의 도시 풍경을 ‘정지된 콘크리트의 집합물’ 너머의 ‘맥동하는 유기체’로 다시 읽는 미디어아트 특별전이다. 본 전시의 큐레이토리얼 명제는 영등포의 도시 맥락 위에서만 완전히 작동하므로, 영등포 미디어아트라는 카테고리에 정확히 들어맞는다.
영등포 미디어아트 전시 공간 — 영등포아트스퀘어
영등포아트스퀘어는 영등포구가 운영하는 복합문화공간으로, 타임스퀘어 쇼핑몰 지하 2층에 위치한다. 26m 길이의 대형 Media Wall을 비롯해 미디어아트 친화적인 인프라를 갖추고 있다.
위치는 영등포역(1호선·KTX) 도보 3분, 신도림역(1·2호선) 도보 10분. 영등포역과 지하로 직접 연결되어 비 오는 날에도 외부 노출 없이 진입 가능하다.

황인태 〈Vessel〉 — 서울시 1년치 이동 데이터를 기하학적 형태로 변환, 맥박 센서로 관람객 심박과 동기화.
황인태 〈Goldilocks〉 — 7가지 기상 요소를 조절해 서울 실시간 데이터와 대조.

About the exhibition
Living Geometry 2026 is a media-art special exhibition curated and developed by the KAIST Experience Design Lab (XD Lab) within KAIST's Department of Industrial Design. It re-threads Yeongdeungpo's visible urban landscape, its invisible data, and the emotional strata behind them in a geometric language — recasting the city, beyond a stilled aggregate of concrete, as an organism in continual pulse. Seven works span single-channel video, interactive installation, and multi-device web art.
