테크노스피어(Technosphere)는 인류가 구축한 인공적 물리 시스템의 총체이자, 생물권(Biosphere)을 넘어 지구의 새로운 지질학적 층위로 자리 잡은 '제6의 권역'을 의미한다. 영상 작업 〈Technosphere〉는 이제는 하나의 거대한 생태계처럼 자생하는 이 인공적 권역을 시각적으로 형상화한다. 알고리즘을 통해 파편화된 도시 구조물들이 스스로 증식하고 질서를 찾아가는 과정은, 설계자의 의도를 넘어 독자적으로 확장되는 현대 문명의 이면을 시각적 지질층으로 보여준다.
이 유기적인 흐름 끝에 서서히 모습을 드러내는 신비로운 구체는 우리 시스템이 가닿게 될, 하지만 아직은 정의할 수 없는 미지의 영역을 상징한다. 이 작업은 우리가 직접 구축한 인공적인 세계가 결국 우리를 어디로 데려가고 있는지, 물음을 던진다.

Technosphere — 테크노스피어

The technosphere refers to the whole system of artificial structures and physical environments built by humanity. It can also be understood as a “sixth sphere”: a new geological layer of the Earth that extends beyond the biosphere. The video work 〈Technosphere〉 gives visual form to this artificial sphere, which now seems to sustain itself like a vast ecosystem.
Through algorithmic processes, fragmented urban structures multiply on their own and gradually find order. This process reveals another side of modern civilization: a world that continues to expand beyond the intentions of its designers. The work presents this artificial world as a kind of visual geological layer.
At the end of this organic flow, a mysterious sphere slowly appears. It suggests an unknown realm toward which our systems may be moving, but which we cannot yet define. The work asks where the artificial world we have built with our own hands is ultimately taking us.
