Welcome to the Experience Design Lab - XD Lab.

Located at the Industrial Design Department of Engineering School in KAIST(Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology), XD Lab aims to conduct research and practice at the intersection of art, design, and technology.

In the 21st century, humanity faces complex challenges like climate change within a highly technological society. Addressing these issues requires more than advancements in technology, science, or policy; art and creativity are vital for reshaping human perception and effectively communicating these challenges. XD Lab develops innovative projects that emphasise the critical role of cross-disciplinary collaboration in tackling these pressing issues.

Our work focuses on creating multi-sensory, technology-driven experiences that deliver thought-provoking narratives, elicit profound emotional responses, and build meaningful connections between audiences and ideas. Through research-based practices, we aim to bridge the divide between technology and human experience, fostering a deeper understanding of and engagement with the dynamic interplay between art, science, and society.
