도시와 화려한 소음으로부터 벗어나고 싶은 마음. 하지만 우리는 늘 도시로 돌아오게 된다. 벗어나고 싶은 소망은 열린 문 속으로 향하는 바람으로 전달되며, 문을 크게 열수록 강해진다.
바람의 세기에 따라 천은 부유하고 프레임 너머의 풍경을 향해 펄럭이지만, 천은 공간에 묶인 채 떨어지지 않고 관객 역시 스크린에 가로막혀 문 너머로 나아갈 수 없다.
문을 여는 것으로 시작된 경험은 관객을 현실에서 분리된 변형된 풍경 속으로 안내하며, 문을 닫는 것으로 다시 본래의 현실로 복귀한다.
〈City'scape + Tied〉는 '문'이라는 물리적 장치를 매개로, 도시 속에서 인간이 느끼는 복합적인 감정을 체험하는 상황 디자인이다. 전시 공간 전체를 하나의 도시 공간으로 상상하여, 화려한 전광판을 등지고 골목으로 들어가는 흐름 속에서 관객은 문을 여는 행위를 통해 일상적인 도시 공간 속에서 사적이고 몰입적인 경험을 마주하게 된다.

City'scape + Tied — 떨어지지 않는 풍경

A wish to slip away from the city and its bright noise. And yet we always return. That wish travels as wind into an open door, and grows stronger the wider the door is opened.
Carried by that wind, the cloth lifts and flutters toward the landscape beyond the frame — but the cloth is bound to the space and never falls free, and the visitor, blocked by the screen, cannot pass through the door either.
The experience that begins with opening a door leads the visitor into a transformed landscape detached from reality; closing the door returns them to their ordinary world.
〈City'scape + Tied〉 is a situational design that uses a physical device — a door — to stage the layered emotions a person feels inside the city. Imagining the entire exhibition space as a single urban space, the visitor turns away from the bright screens, walks into the alley, and through the simple act of opening a door encounters a private, immersive moment inside the everyday city.
