떨어지지 않는 풍경 — City’scape + Tied

답답한 도시와 화려한 소음으로부터 벗어나고 싶은 마음. 하지만 우리는 늘 도시로 돌아오게 된다. 작은 문과 큰 문은 모두 도시를 벗어난 풍경을 그린다. 벗어나고 싶은 소망은 열린 문 속으로 향하는 바람으로 전달되며, 문을 크게 열수록 강해진다. 바람의 세기에 따라 천은 부유하고 프레임 너머의 풍경을 향해 펄럭이지만, 천은 공간에 묶인 채 떨어지지 않고 관객 역시 스크린에 가로막혀 문 너머로 나아갈 수 없다. 문을 여는 것으로 시작된 경험은 관객을 현실에서 분리된 변형된 풍경 속으로 안내하며, 문을 닫는 것으로 다시 본래의 현실로 복귀한다.
〈City'scape + Tied〉는 '문'이라는 물리적 장치를 매개로, 도시 속에서 인간이 느끼는 복합적인 감정을 체험하는 상황 디자인이다. 전시 공간 전체를 하나의 도시 공간으로 상상하여, 화려한 전광판을 등지고 골목으로 들어가는 흐름 속에서 관객은 문을 여는 행위를 통해 일상적인 도시 공간 속에서 사적이고 몰입적인 경험을 마주하게 된다.

The desire to escape the visual noise and the suffocating pressure of the city — and yet, we are bound to it. The work begins with the act of opening a door. Visitors encounter a landscape lifted away from the everyday; once the journey ends, they come back to the ordinary world.
〈City’scape + Tied〉 is a situation design artwork that uses the physical apparatus of a door to let visitors inhabit the layered emotions of urban life. The exhibition space itself is imagined as an urban space: visitors turn away from the dazzle of the large media screen and step into an alleyway. In the simple act of opening a door, they encounter a private, immersive moment held inside the ordinary fabric of the city.
