베슬 — Vessel

〈Vessel〉은 서울시 1년치의 이동 데이터를 기하학적 형태로 변환한 인터랙티브 데이터 조각이다. 각 자치구의 인구와 이동 속도는 조형물의 기하학적 규격에 엄밀하게 반영되어 시각적 면적이 데이터의 수치와 일치한다.
관객은 작품을 회전시켜 각 자치구의 흐름을 조망하거나 시간축을 이동하면서 변화를 목격한다. 이내 맥박 센서에 접촉하는 순간 도시의 박동은 관객의 고유한 생체 리듬과 동기화된다.
도시의 혈류는 이제 당신과 함께 호흡한다.

이 작품은 KAIST 경험디자인연구실(XD Lab)이 기획·개발한 미디어아트 특별전 〈Living Geometry 2026 · 생동 기하학〉에 출품되었다. 전시는 2026년 5월 1일부터 6월 28일까지 서울 영등포아트스퀘어(타임스퀘어 B2F)에서 열리며, 관람료는 무료다.

〈Vessel〉 is an interactive data sculpture that translates a year of Seoul's mobility data into geometric form. The population and movement velocity of each district are mapped, with rigorous fidelity, onto the sculpture's geometric dimensions, so that visible area coincides exactly with the numbers in the data.
Visitors rotate the work to survey the flow of each district, or travel along the time axis to witness change. The moment a hand touches the pulse sensor, the city's beat synchronises with the visitor's own biological rhythm.
The bloodstream of the city now breathes with you.
