날씨는 만만한 대화 주제다. 반면 기후 변화를 이야기하는 것은 유난히 어렵고 복잡하다. 과학자들의 표와 그래프는 지루하게만 느껴진다. 날씨 이야기하듯 쉽게 기후 데이터를 접할 수는 없을까.
〈Goldilocks〉는 기후 변화에 대해 표현하고, 경청하고, 염원하는 전 과정을 데이터로 매개한다. 관객들은 7가지 기상 요소를 조절하여 자신만의 날씨를 만들고 다른 사람들이 만든 날씨와 대조한다. 이 날씨 이야기들은 서울의 실시간 데이터와 결합되어 집단적 골디락스 존을 드러낸다.

이 작품은 KAIST 경험디자인연구실(XD Lab)이 기획·개발한 미디어아트 특별전 〈Living Geometry 2026 · 생동 기하학〉에 출품되었다. 전시는 2026년 5월 1일부터 6월 28일까지 서울 영등포아트스퀘어(타임스퀘어 B2F)에서 열리며, 관람료는 무료다.

Goldilocks — 골디락스

The weather is an easy topic of conversation. Climate change, by contrast, is unusually hard and tangled to talk about — scientists' tables and graphs feel only tedious. Could we not encounter climate data as casually as we discuss the weather?
〈Goldilocks〉 mediates the entire process of expressing, listening to, and yearning about climate change through data. Visitors adjust seven meteorological parameters to compose their own weather and place it alongside the weather others have made. These weather stories are joined with Seoul's live data to reveal a collective Goldilocks zone.
